Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised as part of an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline Fernandez's mom Kim and her father Elroy are both Malaysians. Her brothers are elder and two younger brothers. It was because of the conflict in Sri Lanka that her parents decided to move to Bahrain. After finishing the schooling in Bahrain she received an Scholarship at the University of Sydney to pursue a Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. The love of different cultures and languages inspired her to enroll in the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she mastered French and Arabic while learning Spanish. In 2006, she won the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 in March 2006, and was also a contestant at Miss Universe 2006. In the wake of her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a show about Sri Lankan Business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager, she competed at national-level badminton competitions, but quit the sport and became an artist. Padukone is of Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her mother tongue. Padukone is a village located in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State of India is where her family originates. Prakash Padukone is her father and was a badminton player with international recognition. Her mother works as a travel agent.
